The Week of Weaning

Well, it was almost totally successful. Jack is now drinking all of his milk out of sippy cups. Bye bye bottles! And Jack is finally holding the cups himself. Before he would start, then drop the cup and wait for Mommy or Daddy to finish feeding him (a smart move, but he was caught on to).

Jack can now bend over and look at you while he is upside down. This is hard to describe, and a picture would obviously show you - but he won't stay in this position long enough, yet. This isn't an example of weaning, but is just one of his new tricks. He is very proud of it, so thought you might like to know about it!

We also thought Jack might be ready for one nap a day, so Mommy and Daddy tried to wean him down to one today. The experiment was a terrible one, and will not be attempted again until Jack is older.
