Jack and Mommy met Sam and Leslie at the Charlotte Nature Museum today. Mommy had not been there since she was a little girl, and it had really changed! Here, Jack and Sam were in the activity area - full of books, puzzles, and puppets. Of course, Jack had to make sure the stools were sturdy before he and Sam took a seat at the caterpillar table.
This may have been the highlight of the whole day. Jack and Sam found a "stream" of water you can play in. There were pretend frogs and such to put in the water - and the boys did play with those for a while.
But, as Sam showed Jack, it was much more fun just to splash the water! The boys loved it, and the mommies didn't even mind that they were soaking wet. Leslie was smart and brought a change of clothes for Sam. Next time, Mommy will be better prepared!
Mommy did remove the t-shirt Jack had on, so he was little dryer. And a little closer to wearing his birthday suit. As you can tell, this made him very happy!
There was also a pond to look in, not play in. There were real turtles in it!
The museum had a butterfly pavilion that we went in, and a nature walk that we started, but didn't finish. It was snack time! So, the club went for bagels and milk. As always. the meeting was a success!

It looks like the boys had a ball! It is so funny that Jack was checking out the stool.
I am so embarrassed Jack got soaked because of Sam. It's a good thing Jack is so laid-back and understanding! :)
Sounds like a fun day! I hope you don't mind Lily invading the next meeting of the DFS ;)
Lily will be a honorary member!
How did Jack's first day of preschool go? It was today, right?
