This is Mommy's first go-around at raising a little prince, so she is bound to make lots of mistakes. And she'll be the first to admit that she has. Hopefully, we will be able to right this wrong before too long. Okay, here it is: Jack loves to read books, so Mommy thought she would point out families in books whenever they came across them. Specifically, she would point out the Mommy, Daddy, and Baby, to Jack. Problem: Now, Jack thinks all men are Daddies. If he sees a man on T.V. or on the street, he calls him Daddy. Oops.
There hasn't been any confusion, though. Jack definitely knows who his own Daddy is, and calls for him throughout the day. Daddy is his favorite person, and Mommy thinks the attachment goes both ways:)

Oh, Lauren, you are a saint compared to me! I wish my mistakes were like your mistakes. For example, take Sam's new favorite word. It rhymes with "it" and begins with 'sh.' Yeah.
Don't ever think you are anything but a fabulous mother! Because you are!
The important thing is that Jack is learning to say words, like "Daddy"!
If everybody's mistakes were that minor, the world would be a better place. You are a wonderful mother!
Lydia does the exact same thing! We walked into the library and everything was quiet and we walked by a man and she said "Daddy!" really loud.
I have now decided that though it may still be a mistake on my part, it is very smart on Jack's. He has started calling all women "Ma Ma" and all men "Da Da." He can discern between genders, how intelligent!
