On Wednesday, Jack met his friends, Sam and Lily, at Latta Park for a picnic. He was thoughtful enough to bring his Mom along, and lucky for her, Leslie and Lora came too!
Jack and Sam enjoyed catching up and running around. One day these two will be famous - track stars or neurologists? 
It was a beautiful day, and everyone was glad to be outside. But safety always comes first - our picnic spot had to be perfect. So, Sam tested the wind velocity with a blade of grass. Lily made sure the ground's moisture level was not too high. Jack checked the strength of the site with his feet. We were good to go thanks to the DFS Safety Patrol.
Jack's favorite thing was the lake at Latta. He noticed Sam laughing at the waves, so he started laughing as well. Lily thought the water was soothing, so she meditated at the edge.
Mommy enjoyed the picnic part of the day, because (surprise) she got to sit down. Jack is glad the weather is warming up so he can see his friends outside again soon!
