Dear Santa,

Mommy really needs a new camera because hers is broken. I had the greatest week, and she couldn't document it with photos. On Wednesday, after school I got to meet Daddy at work! He took me and Mommy out to lunch and to hear singing bears. He even took us on a train ride! Mommy and Daddy kept saying the words "new" and "silly mayor," but I liked riding on the train named after a cat (LYNX) either way.

On Thursday, Mommy's friend from college came over with her kids and hubby. I had the best time with Jessica's girl, named Lydia. And Robert's boy, Miles, really liked my trains. Oh, yeah. I don't have a boy of my own yet, so in a few years that will be on my list.

On Friday, my friend Nathan came over to play. He eats lots of grapes and bananas, but I still like him. We have fun together!

See, I told you my week was great. Please give Mommy a camera. They aren't big, so you can make room in your sack if you push all my toys to the side. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Love,
Jack

p.s. She has a camera to borrow on Christmas morning, so she'll be okay till then.

Dear Jack,

What a great week you had! Isn't that cat train fun? We should ride it together sometime. I like the singing bears, too.

Here's hoping your Mommy gets a new camera. Merry Christmas!

Your friend,
Sam

Jack, I will have you know that your Uncle T-Bird designed some train bridges a few years ago for Raleigh's regional rail... but they are not building it :( (Not my doing, I assure you)

When you get older I will tell you all about it. Next time we see each other I want to hear about the train ride too! We apparently share a great love for all things mass transit ;)
