Preschool Orientation

On September 5th, Jack goes to preschool for the very first time! Not only does it mean that summer vacation is coming to an end (no more jumps in Mimi and Papa's pool, no more beach trips, no more days with perspiration dripping from every pore). But worst of all, it means that the little man himself is growing up.

Today, though, he gave Mommy all the assurance she needed: no matter how much he grows, he will always want his Mommy. The orientation was just a dry run for the kids, and a meeting for the parents. Mommy was very impressed by all that she heard from the director of the preschool, and she hopes Jack didn't mind visiting his new classroom and meeting his new classmates.

The picture is of Jack and Miss Janet, the assistant teacher for his class.

Is he happy or sad in this picture?

Unfortunately, he is sad. He experienced a little separation anxiety:(

Awwww, poor Jack! Whenever Sam gets upset about me leaving, I secretly feel kinda glad - it shows he needs his Mommy!

I hope Jack likes his new preschool. I can't wait to hear about his first day there!
